Bethesda University Men’s Soccer Team Clinches SWS Conference Title

Bethesda University’s men’s soccer team made history by winning their first-ever SWS Conference title under head coach Emmanuel Magallon and assistant coach Mario Silva.

The Flames showed resilience and skill throughout the playoffs, starting with a beating Lincoln University in the semi-finals. After a goalless draw, the game went to penalties, where Samuka Souza calmly scored the decisive shot, shooting Bethesda University into the finals.

In the championship match against Stanton University, the Flames held firm defensively and broke through. Paulo Junior scored the matchs only goal, securing a 1-0 victory and the coveted title. This remarkable win marks the beginning of a new era for Bethesda under Magallon’s leadership.

Adding to the team’s success, Emmanuel Magallon and Mario Silva received the Coach of the Year award, recognizing his impact and leadership. Meanwhile, Wayne Atkinson earned the Best Player of the Tournament award for his outstanding performances throughout the playoffs.
