Flames win 2 in a row!

Flames win 2 in a row!

Yesterday afternoon, the Bethesda Flames took on Southern California Leadership University in a conference battle. The flames took an early lead in the first half, but could not make enough of a run to be comfortable. After a way under par half for the flames they went into half time up seven. Mid way through the second half SCLU took their first lead of the game. The Flames faced the ultimate test, lay down and surrender or battle back and re gain the lead. After two clutch free throws from Justin Clark, the Flames went up by two. SCLU came down with 14.3 seconds left and hit two free throws to tie the game. With 11 second left guard Jonathan Joseph passed to Sam Skipper in the corner for a wide open 3. Nothing but net with 3 seconds on the clock the Flames went up by 3! They closed the game out with a defensive stop to seal the Flames second conference win in a row and a conference record of 3-1.  The Coach Cockrell and our men will try to make it three in a row, Tuesday January 31st against West Coast Baptist at 7pm.
