Flames Lose Close Game to Vanguard

COSTA MESA, Calif. – Bethesda University put forth a gallant effort only to fall 84 – 86 against Vanguard University. The Flames were coming off two good performances against NCAA D1 schools, Montana and Idaho State. "While we are disappointed in the loss, I am very happy with the steady improvement our guys are making as a team" said head coach Leo Balayon. "I knew coming in that it would take time for us to get better this season, having a lot of new players come in. We are a team that has been together for 3 months going up against teams that have been together for years. I'm just glad we are improving" added Balayon.

Five players from the Flames scored double digits, led by Gabriel Adersteg's 18 points. Khalfani Williams scored a season high 14 points while Jordan Lopez chipped in 11.

The Flames play Multnomah University this Friday in Lancaster, CA.
