Easu Madrigal Takes His Talent To The Next Level

Anaheim, CA. -  The Bethesda University baseball team is still making headlines during the off season.   Bethesda University Ace Pitcher Easu Madrigal, has taken his talents to the next level.

Easu Madrigal signed with Tiburones of Puerto Peñasco. They are from Liga Norte de Mexico and part of the Organization from Laguna and Monclova.  Madrigal has the opportunity to play for a team in playoff contention, and contribute towards the back end of the bullpen late in games.

 

"I would still like to continue playing for as long as I can at the highest level possible." Said Madrigal, "I signed because it was an opportunity to challenge myself with a higher level of baseball."

 

Esau Madrigal finished the season with an overall batting average .324 and 158 plate appearances. Madrigal pitched in a total 54 games while contributing to the win against Oakland city.  "I am very proud of Esau," said Head Coach Michael Gonzalez.  "Esau has a true passion and love for baseball. It's a great accomplishment and it shows in the way he plays the game."

 

Eariler this season Easu was selected as the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week after he went 7-8 for a .875 average in three games for Bethesda University. Madrigal collected 2 doubles, 2 HR's, 5 RBI's, and a SLUG % of 1.875. 

Assistant Coach Tony Gonzalez added, "Chacho (Esau) has been through a lot of adversity through his collegiate career, this kid has left it all on the field all season. Great thing about him is he knows we still have work to do."
