Julio Lopez currently serves as the interim head men's basketball coach as current AD Leo Balayon goes on a coaching sabbatical. Coach Lopez has served as Balayon's assistant coach as well as the compliance officer for the Lion Angels since 2015. Julio is known in the basketball circles of Los Angeles as an impressive player scout who finds the diamond in the rough. Him and Balayon have worked together to help players become professional basketball players overseas, the G-League and even in the NBA.
